When we received the request from NEXONTIS from Walldorf for a social event with Helping Hands, we were very enthusiastic! An IT company with an international team planning a social team building - that sounded promising
When all details and questions were clarified, we made our way to Walldorf near Heidelberg with 9 kits. We were curious to see how the teams with employees from the Czech Republic, India, Indonesia, Germany, the Philippines and Pakistan will take up this idea for team building and face this unusual challenge. We had the building instructions in German and English with us and each team was multilingual. Not all team members work together personally every day and all the time, but it was a pleasure for us to see and feel how the cooperation and interaction with each other, which is already very harmonious and cooperative, reached another level in this social project .
All teams have put a lot of effort into mastering the technical challenges involved in assembling the hand prostheses so that in the end every hand really works perfectly. So everyone could try out how it is to write or grip with a hand prosthesis or…. It is hard for us to imagine how life without a hand or even without any hand at all would be like... In the last part of the presentation, we are still very touched when we see the people who finally, often after many years of waiting and hoping in vain to get a helping hand.
This wonderful Helping Hands event with NEXONTIS ended with a nice evening at the bar!
We hope that we can continue this pleasant and constructive cooperation for more Helping Hands and that we will implement the new ideas that we have developed together!
Many thanks to NEXONTIS and Steffen Grieble and his team!
